Overview
Supervises production assembly work. Subordinates perform assembly of products or sub-assemblies according to verbal or written instructions, or by following drawings or diagrams. Provides work direction and reviews work performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the assembly of complicated machinery based on the design and drawings of the Engineering Department. Responsible for watching project schedules and assigning daily work based on priority. Must work closely with Project Engineer and have good communication skills. Must have good project management skills as is responsible for multiple projects. Responsible for implementing procedures and maintaining policies. Suggests methods for improving processes or operating conditions.
Essential Functions
Must have good communication and customer service skills. Must be able to direct and supervise subordinates efforts. Must be able to stand while working and lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance. Must be able to work independently, as well as in a team environment. Must be able to work accurately and under the constraints of a deadline. Must be accurate in timekeeping.
Work experience requirements
5 Years assembly experience with some supervisory experience
Education Requirements
High School graduate or equivalent experience.
