Specializes in the design and construction of in-line, rotary, indexing, continuous motion, power/free, and contact insertion process equipment.
Automation is a necessity for all types of manufacturers; pharmaceuticals, electronics, electric controls, automotive, plastics and packaging. Wherever there is a need for fast, efficient and repetitive assembly of parts, you will find our equipment.
When it comes to a custom assembly system, Lincolnshire, Ill.-based Central Machines Inc. offers some of the most innovative automation systems in the industry. The company has specialized in continuous motion, indexing dial, high-speed terminal insertion equipment, cap lining and closing machines since 1995.

History
Central Machines was formed in March 1995 by Gerhard Kendler. It started in a 2,500-square-foot industrial condo in Wheeling, IL.
In 1997, Central Machines knocked a hole through the wall to the adjacent building, making it a 5,000-square-foot facility. Then in 2001 a 15,000-square-foot free-standing building was purchased. In 2007, another 35,000-square-foot facility was purchased and all operations were moved to this new building.
Innovation at Central Machines
What sets Central Machines apart from the competition? Our innovation and cost-effective solutions with a focus on reliability and customer support. We have a solid, loyal customer base and continue to penetrate new markets, while maintaining and expanding current industries served.
How We Stay Innovative
We build custom automation equipment and we are doing it a lot of times from a blank piece of paper. Providing innovative solutions in the concept stage will guide you through the entire process of producing equipment.

Our Innovative Process
Central Machines starts off every project with a discovery meeting. We also incorporate each project with concept reviews, in-house design reviews, customer design reviews before releasing anything to the manufacturing process. All machining centers and wire EDM cells pull files directly from the network. The fully designed electrical and pneumatic schematics allow for electrical panels to be built prior to machine assembly. A thorough review with the machine builder prior to the assembly process highlights critical areas of the equipment. Central Machines incorporates an in-house checklist for all departments, in-house acceptance and finally, customer training and acceptance into all projects.
